Special Message From Our Head of Master Program

As head of this program, I often say that a good informatics graduate needs two things: a solid grasp of theory and enough hands-on experience to put that theory to work. That is how we run the program. Our students study the fundamentals in depth, but they also spend a lot of time working on real problems. Many of them are supervised by lecturers who are active in international research and professional networks.

We also care about who our graduates become, not only what they know. Islamic character is part of everyday academic life here. We believe it matters just as much to a professional working at home as to one working abroad.

Students choose one of four concentrations: Enterprise Information Systems, Medical Informatics, Digital Forensics, or Data Science. Each is tied to a sector that depends more and more on information technology, from hospitals to law enforcement to business. Across all four, we bring science, information technology, and Islamic values together. We postulate this is what makes the program different. We hope it gives our graduates what they need to create new things and to be of real use to the people around them.
