Concentrations and Courses Offered by the Master of Informatics Study Program for Professional

Digital Forensics

Students who graduate from the Master’s Informatics Study Program with a concentration in Digital Forensics are oriented to have the following basic abilities:

(1) Have basic skills as an examiner or digital forensics expert either in a law enforcement environment or other non-law enforcement agencies.

(2) Have adequate academic abilities to continue your studies towards a higher level.

The Digital Forensics concentration curriculum is designed to provide knowledge and skills in understanding the procedures and processes required in carrying out digital forensics activities.

Medical Informatics

The profile of graduates with a concentration in Medical Informatics is:

(1) Health care managers, develop innovative applications for health services and information and provide information management consulting services for health care organizations.

(2) Leader in the field of clinical information technology, and able to design and develop clinical decision support systems and knowledge-based systems.

(3) Researchers and developers of new technologies and technology to integrate research data and clinical data and are able to collaborate with industry as consultants and providers of clinical input during the design process.

(4) Teaching staff (academic), such as: providing lessons to students in the medical or clinical field, and other students in the field of medical informatics, and developing educational programs in the field of medical informatics.

Data Science

The Data Science concentration focuses on analyzing and modeling data from various scientific domains as well as data from the practical world such as industry. This program emphasizes a strong understanding of fundamental concepts such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Causal Modeling.

This program also prioritizes reliable, applicable technical skills. With these two characteristic targets, the Data Science Concentration of the Informatics Study Program – UII Masters Program targets graduates with adequate theoretical and practical skills for various professions, from academics (such as lecturers, researchers) to professionals in the industrial world (such as data scientists, machines learning engineer, big data administrator).

This program is supported by teaching staff who have strong scientific and research backgrounds, as well as a series of applicable experiences in the world of practice. Apart from that, this program is also supported by the latest computing facilities, which enable students to carry out in-depth simulations and exploration, when carrying out data analysis and modeling.

Enterprise Information Systems

The Enterprise Information Systems concentration seeks to produce graduates with an enterprise mindset, namely a comprehensive mindset regarding the application of information systems in an enterprise or organization. Students will study the application and interaction of information systems, both using standard and contextual approaches according to enterprise conditions. Students will examine these approaches in all stages of the information systems life cycle, namely: planning, design, implementation and evaluation.
