Description
Chandra Kusuma Dewa received the bachelor’s (within three and a half years) and the master’s (cum laude) degrees in computer science from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, in 2008 and 2011, respectively. He obtained the Ph.D. degree (with a perfect GPA) in engineering from Toyohashi University of Technology, Toyohashi, Japan in 2021 with the Monbukagakusho Scholarship from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), Japan. In September 2019, he was a Machine Learning Engineer Intern at the Life Creation Center, Honda R&D Co. Ltd., Saitama, Japan. Moreover, he has been a Lecturer and a Researcher with the Department of Informatics, Universitas Islam Indonesia, Yogyakarta, Indonesia since 2013. His research interests include machine learning, reinforcement learning, robotics, and multimedia.
Apart from researching, Dr. Dewa also has a keen interest in teaching. During his doctoral study, he participated in the Global Rotation Program (GRP) which aims to develop practical, creative, and leadership educational skills for engineering educators globally. In December 2019, he completed a teaching training program on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) held by GRP with an audience of high school students at Toyohashi Higashi High School, Toyohashi, Japan.
