Description

Prior to being elected as the Rector of Universitas Islam Indonesia in 2018, he has served the university through various positions, such as the Dean of Faculty of Industrial Technology (2006-2010), the Chief Academic Officer (2014-2016), and the Chief Information Officer (2016-2018). 

He is an active researcher. His research interest focuses on the ICT4D, eGovernment, and enterprise systems. He has published in several journals such as Communications of the Association for Information Systems (CAIS), The Electronic Journal of Information Systems in Developing Countries (EJISDC), and Transforming Government: People, Process and Policy (TGPPP). His works have also been presented at various conferences such as The Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS), European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS), European, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern Conference on Information Systems (EMCIS), IFIP WG 9.4 (ICT4D), eParticipation (ePart), and eGovernment (eGov). 

He has served as Associate Editor at CAIS and Senior Editor at EJISDC. He was also the conference co-chair of the 2017 IFIP WG 9.4 conference. 

Currently, he is working on research projects related to eParticipation and land information systems in rural Indonesia.
