Description
Hanson Prihantoro Putro is a lecturer at Universitas Islam Indonesia’s Department of Informatics (Informatics UII), where he is a member of the Software Engineering Research Group. Software testing and quality assurance are two of his research interests. He has ISTQB certification as a Certified Tester Fundamental Level. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Institut Teknologi Bandung, where he studied Code Smell Detection in Source Code as a software quality assurance technique.
In the Department of Informatics, Hanson is the Head of the Programming Technology Laboratory. He manages practice classes in software development using Web and Mobile Technology in the laboratory. He also coaches students on how to improve their programming skills for problem solving or competitive programming such as the ICPC or Gemastik Programming Contest.
On a national scale, Hanson joined the Bebras Community as a means of introducing Computational Thinking to high school and college students. He was appointed as the coordinator of the UII Bureau of Bebras. He teaches teachers, along with other lecturers, how to embed Computational Thinking to assist students in problem solving. In practice, he uses Computational Thinking in his courses like Programming Logic, Software Engineering, and Software Testing.
