The Fourth International Conference on Information Technology and Digital Applications (ICITDA) in 2019, an annual conference convened by Department of Informatics, Faculty of Industrial Technology, Universitas Indonesia was successfully held in EastParc Hotel, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, on Friday-Saturday (15-16 November 2019).

The ICITDA conference is an international forum for exchanging of ideas, knowledge, and experience on the latest development in the field of information technology and digital applications among researchers from academia, engineers, and practitioners from industries. This conference enable opportunities for collaboration among the participants to advance the theory and practice in the field of information technology.

ICITDA has been a hub of many people from many countries. Since its inception, ICITDA has been the work of many universities. The universities which had collaboration work with our university to host ICITDA are Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (Thailand), Youngsan University (South Korea) and University of the Cordilleras (Philippines).

ICITDA received and presented many papers from many countries from Asia Pacific. This year, ICITDA received 115 submissions from 8 countries, and accepted 56 papers in various topics. They come from 6 countries: Philippines, Indonesia, South Korea, New Zealand, Malaysia and China. To make sure that we have a high quality paper, we also have high quality reviewers from 5 countries: United Kingdom, Indonesia, Australia, Netherlands, and Philippines.

This year’s conference featured two keynote speakers, Prof. Hai Jin from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China, and Dr. Vijanth Asirvadam from Universiti Teknologi Petronas, Malaysia. Prof. Hai Jin gave a lecture about “Evening out the Bottlenecks for Today’s Blockchain Systems” and Dr. Vijanth Asirvadam presented about “Camera Placement Based on Risk Maps”.
